Office Sign Design For K&L Gates Offices

Brief: Office signs and manifestation design

Sector: Commercial Offices

Client: Lehman Smith McLeish & K&L Gates

Designed by internationally renowned architect Jean Nouvel, One New Change is characterised by sleek lines and sharp angles. When it came to designing the office signs and graphics, the challenge was to celebrate this unique architecture, while remaining true to the brand.

In response, the corporate font is used throughout – from the reception graphics through to the facility and meeting room signs. With the character of the building being captured in the materials and design of the sign forms. The reception sign is composed of individual letters in faceted acrylic – providing a clear connection to the architecture. We similarly designed a unique pattern for the manifestation for the internal glass partitions, which echoes that of the external façade.

The Velvet Principle also sourced equipment and provided design templates so that the client could update their desk labels. The offices subsequently won the British Council of Offices, Best of the Best award.

Following our work at One New Change, we went on to design manifestation and signs for offices in Doha, Milan, Paris, Australia and the US.
